Museo Rafael Coronel
This page illustrates
the collections of the Museo Rafael Coronel in Zacatecas. Although little-known
this museum has probably the finest collection of Mexican masks held anywhere,
including many types not in the Museo Nacional. It also holds an important collection of
folk instruments and pre-Columbian ceramics. The Museum is housed in a
sixteenth century convent, which itself has impressive architecture.
