Hyamic Page
The Hyamic languages are those known as ‘Jaba’ in the former literature. Their central town is Kwoi, although Nok is another important settlement, and also famous for the ‘Nok culture’ which existed some 2500 years ago and was responsible for the Nok terracotta sculptures. Despite it being a well-known group, many Hyamic languages are poorly known.
