The Tarok people live mainly in Langtang-North, Langtang-South, Wase, Mikang and Kanke Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Plateau State in central Nigeria. Their main town, Langtang, is about 180 kilometres southeast of Jos, the state capital. I have been working with Selbut Longtau since the 1990s describing the language and culture of the Tarok people and we have a substantial dictionary and grammar in progress.
